In Affinity I sought to display the most unique and special qualities of the fine art acrylic medium as well as the mysterious and ethereal nature of the Afghan hound. I also wanted to capture the interplay between male and female, contrasting negative with positive images and showing realism and abstraction at the same time. This award-winning sculpture demonstrates the most dramatic, sophisticated use of the medium.
